The drawings in the “Genesis” series are personal investigations into the unrelenting spirit of humankind and our origins. The age old question of where do we come from has been pondered for centuries. Like those who have come before us, I too find this intriguing. What are our origins? How were we created; Sky Gods, Earth Gods, Evolution… What separates us from other living species?

It seems to me that so much of our individual belief system is generally biased by our culture and environment. I have dedicated my life to studying artistic anatomy and in particular the human form. This obsession is so that I might convincingly express my interpretation of the unrelenting spirit of humankind.

For me “Genesis” is more than the birth of our origins, it is the inspirational spark that illuminates the artist’ imagination and gives rise to the spirit of creativity. In essence the individual expression of the human soul that makes us unique.

It is my belief that art should be more than a photographic interpretation, for me it should be a reflection of humanity as a whole. Timeless in spirit.

I prefer art to be thought provoking and profound, work that characterizes the resolute soul of humankind. It is my desire to depict humanity as a powerful unrelenting force in nature. I aspire to portray the strength and spirit of humankind.
